Winters are seldom that memorable in California, but, remember that time in snowed in Dublin? Teachers let kids out of class to play in the snow outside Frederiksen Elementary School.
Kids tried to catch snowflakes on their tongues. Snowball fights and snow sculptures took place everywhere there was a little buildup. But, oddly enough, we never heard how it affected our parents’ commute that day.

I remember that whole day. Snow came down late in the morning. 6th grade, Dublin Elementary School. Snow didn’t stick to roads and sidewalks, just melted. It was a lot of snow that day, several inches. My dad who grew up in Detroit was not impressed. My buddy and me found a snow patch in the soon to be developed hill at Vomac Rd.and S.R.V. Blvd. and pelted passing cars with snowballs. What a wonderful time!
